Virus Scanning and Spam Filtering

I'm sick of paying for anti-virus programs and updates, so when I found the cool program linked in the title, I checked the Spyware-Guide. Nothing. So I installed it. Worked great on my wife's computer, but it didn't work with Bloomba's SAProxyPro. Why? They both use the localhost email ports [I know, I'm loosing some of you right now]. The solution? Map ports in SAProxyPro. This comes I day after I had to rejigger some IRQs in XP's Device Manager. The day before that I was installing some software on SMD's website and had to work directly on the MySQL database. Needless to say, I'm feeling way too technical. It's probably time to read one of the books I got with the Amazon gift certificate I got from a BFD reader. You know who you are. Thanks!
