A Huge Waste of Our Money
What kills me about all the attention to the Convention Center is that the trade show industry is really going down the drain. The idea that "if we build it they will come" does not apply to trade shows. People are too pressed for time these days to wait for a trade show. Now they can go on the internet and see company information immediately. Attendance is down at most shows around the country and I think a new Convention Center would be a huge waste of our money.I've heard the same thing. When I get a second, I'll do some research. Does anyone have some facts to back this up?
