As far as I can tell the announcement isn't yet on CWRU's web site, but the Center for Regional Economic Issues has a new executive director - Edward Morrison. Mr. Morrison will replace the late Richard Shatten. Weatherhead Dean Mohsen Anvari sent out a letter to the staff announcing Mr. Morrison's appointment and that letter is republished on a blog run by Sandy Piederit, an assistant professor at Weatherhead. The REI spot is a key one in the community. The research group presently is working with county officials to develop an economic development strategy for Cuyahoga County.
