Something Barbara Payne posted got me going this morning:

"I had a heart-to-heart with a former member of the Connection Series BP CAT who has joined the ranks of the powers that be--and who cautioned that the CAT members might be spinning their wheels with all their earnest endeavors to change things. The powers that be are already working on these things, was the message. And unless you have the big money behind you, your efforts will likely be wasted."

The first thing that pops into my head is SELLOUT. The second thing that pops in there is that said person USED the Connection Series as a vehicle for their own personal gain. I think they endeavored to hook up with "the powers that be". Third, I had a conversation Friday night that PROVES there are large numbers of people who will NEVER participate in the thing "the powers that be" are doing because they're jaded by years of organizational inefficiency. Finally, go over and read the comment that I posted on Barbara's post by clicking on the title of this post. There's a place for INDIVIDUALS with passion and enthusiasm. They need to be working ahead of the curve, because organizations are WAY behind. That's where the entrepreneurs find their opportunity, and that's where I'll be.
