Here's an update regarding the Connection Series I attended a while back. From an email from Craig James:

We thank you for your continued support of the ConnectionSeries and our ongoing effort to not only "connect" the entities within our Region that are trying to make change - but to also help turn "talk to action". As we migrate down the continuum toward action and implementation, we have organized a ConnectionSeries ActionTeam Meeting (a.k.a. "CS3.5"). The meeting will be held on Tuesday, 12-3-02, 2:00-4:00 PM at The Cleveland Foundation Conference Center. A quick backgrounder: 190 individuals attended ConnectionSeries Session3 (CS3) on 10-15-02; "Marketing and Promoting Cleveland - A Mass Brainstorm". Of those 190 folks, approximately 100 "Signed-up" to continue their involvement surrounding the emerging initiatives that evolved from the Session (i.e. you). Of the 100 Sign-ups, 30 of you have confirmed to join us on Tuesday, 12-3-02 for the ConnectionSeries ActionTeam Meeting - CS3.5. At the meeting, we will have some fun, do some work, and set the table for moving the initiatives closer to implementation reality.

I find it interesting that out of almost 200 people, only 30 have confirmed. What I don't understand are the other 70 who said they wanted to DO SOMETHING, but AREN'T DOING ANYTHING. I know it's an odd time, but it is about the future of the region, and it is at the Cleveland Foundation. It's a good thing I got some sport coats and decent shirts yesterday!
