Ed Morrison · Over $1 billion for NY’s regional council strategy

New York State is moving ahead with its strategy of developing regional councils. Governor Cuomo announced that the fund for regional councils would top $1 billion. Ten regional councils will compete for the money. Plans are due mid-November.
The first $130 million was approved in the recently passed budget. The balance of $870 million comes from funding through existing state programs.
