In an interesting development, Iowa is cutting its economic development incentive funds by 60%. The new Iowa Partnership for Economic Progress will focus on a far more productive strategy of encouraging company growth from within the state.
As one Iowa official notes, “The days of attracting big manufacturing plants are gone.” Read more.
