The folks up in Minnesota have come up with a smart way to connect local supplier to larger companies. Rather than a free-for-all trade show event, the came up with a “peer reviewed” showcase.
About 80 nominated companies were screened in a specific business category (computer services and information services), and 9 were selected for the invitation-only event on May 24.
They are also building out a referral library that will work like “Angie’s List” where larger companies can share their experiences with smaller suppliers.
Smart idea.
