Ed Morrison · Privatizing the Department of Development
December 2nd, 2010
It’ll be interesting to see if Kasich can avoid the pitfalls of this approach.
Gov.-elect John Kasich says he is fleshing out his plan to privatize the Ohio Department of Development, but it doesn’t include replacing all the state employees now working at the agency.
Kasich said he’ll need some continuity with the nonprofit corporation he plans to create to do economic-development work, and he will give qualified state workers a chance to join his new JobsOhio.
