Ed Morrison · Perspectives from the South
May 5th, 2009

The Southern states are often in the forefront of economic development. In Atlanta this week, the federal labor and commerce departments have joined to explore how regions can collaborate to compete more effectively.
You can listen to the keynote by Mark Drabenstott of the University of Missouri over on the EDPro weblog. Mark did a good job making the case for regional strategies.
Mark and I have been working on a report introducing new investment and innovation tools for regions. The report will be released next month.
