Lean, mean, productive

Jack Donaghy, the General Electric Co. exec played by Alec Baldwin in the NBC sitcom “30 Rock” isn’t the only one talking about Six Sigma or lean manufacturing these days.
The Center for Economic Growth, the Albany-based economic development organization that also provides manufacturing help to companies, says it will begin teaching lean manufacturing to governments.
Apparently, many governments have been using lean manufacturing principles to streamline bureaucracy and improve productivity.
