We are all part of a social contract or network with each other?

Carole – where’d you get that memo? Was that in the Pee Dee or sumpthin? And here I thought we were still in every man for himself, rugged individual, take what you can grab mode… sheesh! (:-/

The truth is, people want their cake and they want to eat it too; in the case of snowstorms, so much seems to be a no brainer, yet common sense doesn’t apply.

1) people park in the streets, even though there is a snow ER ban – and then they vote on websites like WKYC and say the city does an awful job of plowing.

2) it’s a reasonable request to ask for staggered closings — but the request is ignored in a lot of cases.

The whole idea of feeling as if we are all part of a social contract or network with each other is a tad lacking, imo.

It’s pretty funny that those who work in the private sector were asked to work later than the government employees. Yeah, I’m sure there’s nothing to it, but it’s still amusing.

I was almost the last person to leave my office at 1;45. All the other departments were already shut and there was only one person in mine. And traffic was already bad here and there on Carnegie where some scarebaby or antoher decided it was necessary to drive 7 mph instead of 15.
