On that basis alone, the individual citizen of the county ought to be suspicious. One of the local alternative papers had a good headline I saw yesterday, something like &quot;Hand over your county, and nobody gets hurt.&quot;

Why don&#039;t we hold all these issues to far stricter standards, i.e., complete disclosure, balanced presentation of the facts, truth, plain and straightforward language, and so forth? We are held to these standards in business and in the laws governing contracts, so why not extend the same to government issues, and strip away the politicians&#039; immunities in the process?</description>
