Connecting education with the needs of business is a tricky problem. Educators typically do not have much exposure to private sector companies and their rapidly evolving needs. At the same time, business managers are remarkably inarticulate when it comes to specifying their skill needss.
We have an interesting experiment underway in the Milwaukee 7 region to bridge the gap. We’re working with a broad collaboration to develop some new tools that enable educators, students, parents, and business managers to communicate more effectively.
