Great blogger meetup at Americano tonight. We did a session like thinkrs & drinkrs with everyone tossing a question into a hat, then discussion each one. I’m pretty sure everyone enjoyed that, but hopefully they’ll comment.
Had a chat with Chef V and finally got the right blog address for him. Check out his latest post:
Got these beautiful fresh Californian figs, came up with nice daily special…love combination goat cheese or blue cheese with nice ripe fruit. Going to serving tonight and the next couple days, Fresh fig, babe watercress and goat cheese fritters’s apitizer, dressed with my beet and red wine vinaigrette,( the one I’m using for salmon) should be a killer combo…sweet…warm ..crispy …

I guess I will be the first to post my opinion on last night’s Blogger Meetup.
I enjoyed the wonderful conversation and meeting new people. We had some great topics on sustainability, how will Cleveland be different in 2009, and the ethical standards of posting blogs.
Great venue and the sunset was spectacular as well.
Thanks to everyone who came out.

It was a good time. The company was simpatico, the weather was perfect, and you were right about the espresso rubbed hanger steak: it was excellent.
Chef V has a very nice space and an interesting menu. I got a Sidecar from the bar, a classic drink often glossed over in this age of fake martinis, and it was yummy. I swear it had a little Pernod in it.
