    There’s data, and then there’s the interpretation of it. It isn’t clear at all that job losses are related to the recession of the early 2000’s. It’s more likely that they are associated with longer-term structural weaknesses in Ohio’s economy, relative to the world economy in which it operates. As to Cuyahoga County’s job losses, it’s likely that Cuyahoga County is chasing jobs to nearby counties with high government overhead and associated taxation.
