Ed Morrison · A poem to a petulant politico
August 1st, 2008
Over at Map the Mess, we’re getting some interesting submissions.
We classify them into one of three categories: rumors, game trails (pathways leading to and from big projects like the Juvenile Justice Center), and breadcrumbs (isolated observations or conjectures about corruption in the County).
We’re not clear how to classify poetry, though. It turns out that long time watchers of Commissioner Hagan remember a time when he really enjoyed his role as an elected official. In his enthusiasm, he used to quote Albert Camus.
With that background, here’s the poem:
IN HONOR OF CAMUS
When Timmy starts quoting Camus
You’ll know that the Med Mart is through
Then the County’s resources
Will go to fight forces
That make working families blue.
