I think it is brilliant and applicable to NEO… it is very freeing from the past and from “The Hierarchy”

Henry Gomez blogs about Scene Magazine’s First Punch @ Jason Therrien.

My $.02? Yeah, he’s a platinum sponsor. But you know what? He IS one of the Top 25 Under 35 Movers and Shakers, and I’m not saying that because he’s a friend. Take a look at his list of clients and they work Thunder::Tech is doing. I think it stands on its own merits.

Looking @ the page at the 20/30 site, it would probably help if there was a list of the criteria used to select the candidates. It would also be worth disclosing these relationships prior to publication, to avoid cheap shots from fish wrappers.

Like Tim @ Wild Plum Productions says, “Screw Crate and Barrel and buy yourself a Ginley original, dig?”

Lots of area artists are selling their stuff at gigs like the BB. Support our friends by buying their hard work to give as gifts.

What are other shows/venues BFD readers should be shopping at?

From Steve Goldberg:

At the Superior Ave Phoenix, I found a teleconference being set up… A photo editor from the PD was about to lecture to photographic art students at Ohio State. They couldn’t find a good spot to do it at that multi-million dollar building down the street, so they came to our cafe.

Funny, the lecturer asked if we could turn off the music and to the credit of Kiley, the store manager, he reminded them that this was a coffeeshop, not a sound stage or an office…

Man, you’d think there was someplace in that huge PD building that you could find someplace quieter then a coffeeshop.
